Marylebone Records

We were presented with an exciting challenge: to design a cutting-edge fit-out for Marylebone Records that would seamlessly blend state-of-the-art recording studios, versatile event spaces, and functional office areas. The goal was to create an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and innovation in the music industry.

A central focus of the project was the recording studios, where the client required multiple rooms of varying sizes, each outfitted with the latest recording technology and carefully acoustically treated to deliver exceptional sound quality. The design included control rooms, live rooms, isolation booths, vocal booths, and a dedicated mixing and mastering suite, ensuring the highest standards for music production. The event spaces were designed to be flexible and multifunctional, capable of hosting everything from live performances and album launches to industry gatherings. The office spaces were created with productivity and collaboration in mind, featuring a mix of private offices, open-plan work areas, meeting rooms, and breakout spaces, all designed for comfort and efficiency.

Adding a distinctive touch, we crafted a unique office area shaped to mirror the grand piano that serves as a centerpiece within the space. This area features a slanted ceiling that perfectly mimics the piano’s elegant lines, creating a striking visual connection between the architecture and the musical artistry at the heart of Marylebone Records. The luxurious finish of this space not only highlights the brand’s deep connection to music but also serves as an inspiring focal point for employees and visitors alike.

The brief also emphasised the importance of interior design elements that would enhance the aesthetic appeal and create a cohesive, visually striking environment. We incorporated high-quality materials, contemporary furnishings, and unique design features to reflect the brand’s identity and add character to the space. The result is a sophisticated, dynamic environment that aligns perfectly with the creative spirit of Marylebone Records.
